USATF Club National Championships Standards
OD Qualifying Guidelines
1. All qualifying performances for running events must be made on a standard indoor or a 400m outdoor track. For the 5,000m race walk and the 10,000m, road race times are acceptable.
2. Qualifying marks must be made in accordance with USATF Rule 149 and verifiable in one of the following:
a) USATF- or IAAF-sanctioned events that prescribe to or exceed USATF competition rules b) events at collegiate meets that prescribe to or exceed USATF competition rules c) high school meets, except dual and triangular meets
3. All qualifying marks must be attained during the qualifying windows shown above.
4. Fully automatic timing (F.A.T.) is the only method of timing acceptable for qualifying marks for events equal to or shorter than 400 meters.
5. A manual time may be used for qualifying for events of 800 meters and longer only if F.A.T. was not used during the meet and the manual time appears in the official results.
6. All performances are subject to verification.
